Hey guys, I’m Eirin and I’m going into third year Biomedical Engineering. This will be my second year on committee but my third year as a GURC member. I’ve been riding since I was little but I've never had proper lessons until GURC, and I’m loving it! I would 100% recommend joining GURC as the instructors are great and you make amazing friends whilst improving your riding skills (whether you’re a total beginner or competing). I’m super excited to be your secretary and I’m sure I’ll meet everyone at Fresher’s Fayre!

Hi, I’m Caitlin and I’m going into my 4th year studying Vet Med. I’ve competed on the GURC BUCS teams since I started Uni and captained my teams for the last two years. I’m really excited to be Teams captain for this year and hope we can continue to be super successful, and have loads of fun doing it!

Hi, I’m Trudie and I’m a Biovet. I have been on teams for the past year, as well as competing at Dick Day. I’ve been riding since I was very young, competing at Pony Club, Eventing, but mainly Working Hunter in recent years. I would recommend joining GURC 100%, I’ve made so many new friends and I love the weekly training that teams get (it’s great to relax away from uni stress). Competitions are equally fun, and it’s always great to have some friendly rivalry!

Hi, I’m Laura! I’m going into my third year of biochemistry and have been a part of GURC since the start of first year, with this being my first year in committee. I’ve been riding since I was 8 and am currently in the advanced lessons with the club. Whatever your ability, if you’re interested, I can’t recommend joining enough!

Hiya I'm Bethan, a third year bioscience student here and this is my second year in the riding club! I've taken advanced lessons with the club and love them, such nice ponies, perfect for stress relief! I'll be organising kit and our sponsors, looking forward to another year of GURC xx

Hi there, I'm Sia and I'm your new Treasurer! I'm doing a PhD in Engineering and I've ridden with GURC for the past two years, this past year I've been on the development team. I've been riding since I was 4 and used to compete when I had my own horse. GURC has definitely been great for meeting more horsey pals and Busby has so many cool horses to get to know and ride - definitely getting my riding fix here! If you have questions about club money-related things send them my way and I'll try to answer them as best as I can.

Hi, my name is Ruth. I am a second year vet student from America. I have been riding since I was 3 and enjoy the recreational and pleasure side more than the competitive side of riding. I participate in weekly lessons through the club and can't wait to help schedule lessons for everyone that wants to ride!

Hi, I'm Aoife and I’m a third year medicine student. I am really excited to take on the role of captain this year. I have been a member of the A team for two years and really enjoyed competing in BUCS. I am currently eventing at one star level and was very sad to leave my horses back in Ireland but glad I’ve found my horsey fix in Glasgow! I cannot recommend getting involved with GURC enough! I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone this year and having some fun at the together at the socials!

Hi I’m Beth, I’m going in to my third year of History and Politics and I’m the new Social convenor! I’ve been riding ever since I was little and after taking a break for a couple of years, GURC was a perfect way to get back into all things horsey and meet loads of new people. I’m so excited to meet everyone over the next year and hope you’re all ready for some great GURC events!
